Ceramics Workshop for kids: A story In My Hands

Ceramics workshops for kinds this summer at Artlab!

With Natasa Kalogeropoulou and Eleni Dimitropoulou:
30 June – 17 July

“A Story in My Hands”
A children’s ceramics workshop where beloved classic fairy tales come to life through clay. Each session is inspired by a different story, inviting children to create, imagine, and express themselves through hands-on making.

With Natasa Kalogeropoulou and Maria Grigoriadou:
21 July – 28 August

July Themed workshops:

“Aesop’s Fables Take Shape: This summer, we explore a less-travelled path through the world of Aesop—discovering lesser-known fables that are just as rich in wisdom and beauty. Together, we will uncover these hidden treasures and bring them to life through clay. In each workshop, children listen to a story, discuss it in their own words, and transform it into three-dimensional creations by sculpting characters, scenes, and even their own original fable. A journey of discovery, creativity, and timeless lessons—shaped with clay and imagination.

August Themed Workshops:

    Natassa Kalogeropoulou:
    Clay changed my life…
Born in Athens… studied Communication & Business Administration…
until 2012 worked as top manager in the Media sector… editor in magazines… screenwriter for cinema and TV…
2008 first experience with Clay… loved it… fortunate to meet and have a series of seminars and workshops with gifted teachers.
2014 co-founder of KERAMEIO Ceramic studio in Serifos Cyclades.

Clay… is my way of communicating with myself and, therefore, with others. By exploring this material, I sense the possibility to express myself through understanding nature’s secrets, respecting its rules and limitations. In KERAMEIO Ceramic Studio I develop an ongoing research into the field of ceramics, personalizing work techniques, exploring color schemes. Working with ceramics is a way to be present here, in the now. Every piece you create is unique. It changes over time, it ages, it feels human. So every time I open a fired kiln I keep feeling a mixt of worry and excitement. Generally speaking, my work explores the layered landscapes and sea-washed coasts of Serifos, so all of my handmade stoneware pieces are characterized by curved lines and simple forms.
