Pop-up Interactive Workshop for kids “The Happy Prince”

The Theatre Company “Mikros Notos” and ArtLab invite children aged 5–8, to join them on Monday, 13 July, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at ArtLab (Avlomonas Beach, Livadi Serifos) for a magical journey with a Swallow. Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince, this original interactive workshop will be designed and led by theatre educator Flora Spyrou and Chryssa Diamantopoulou—actor, director, and Artistic Director of the Theatre Company “Mikros Notos”.

Very little is known at the beginning. Together, we will discover the rest by following a Swallow that has travelled all the way from southern Africa to meet a Prince. With a small group of children, we will explore both indoor and outdoor spaces, look outwards and inwards, observe the changes that summer brings, and notice the colours of the neighbourhood. Through theatre and play, we will unravel riddles and untangle mysteries.

The children themselves will become part of a shared adventure, discovering colours, words, scents, and images from the rich palette of emotions. Through storytelling and dramatized moments from The Happy Prince, we will spend 120 minutes weaving a colourful braid of summer stories, folk traditions, improvisation, theatre and traditional games, movement, music, and songs.
