Creativity Workshop “Occasions for Art”

Occasions for Art”, Creativity workshop using drawing, visual storytelling and collective creation as tools.

This workshop is a result of my love about the backstage of the artistic creative process which in my case combines studying images, semiotics, research, observation and experimentation with various materials and media and connecting the dots among ideas which lead to creating visual and performance pieces of art.

At Artlab Think of Serifos, we will choose our “occasions” from Serifos and things we like (Mythology like Medusa, architectural elements, animals, trees) and we will combine them to draw a collaborative composition telling a story.

Two individual workshops will take place on:

  • Saturday 14/09 at 18.30 – 21.30
  • Sunday 15/09 at 11.00 – 14.00

Waiting to meet you there!

I am an illustrator, visual communication designer, visual artist and performance artist. In 2017 I created the company “Metagrunge”, where I develop creative practices and insights by helping artists and businesses creatively communicate their work. I have been a director in three performances (Kēryx 2019, Capital (“Το κεφάλαιο”) 2020, “Empty Canvas” 2023-2024), I design my own products and I create visual communication strategies for artists and businesses. In my artwork, I capture the effects of verbal violence on everyday communication, the invisibility of mental health issues, the elements of nature (especially birds and trees) that are threatened but continue to be a shelter, and the contemporary rituals that help us survive in our daily lives.
