The Wave
In Serifos, the deep blue of the sea meets the distinctive earthy colours of the shoreline. Ochre, brown and golden hues blend with the water, creating a unique palette, almost like the island’s own signature. Seen from above, the shoreline and the wave seem to merge into one, in an image that captures the distinctive colours and wild beauty of Serifos.
The Kiss
The rocks of Serifos carry within them a part of the island’s history. The different layers of stone, the lines and shifting hues from one place to another bear witness to the passage of time, as though the earth itself had preserved its traces. Amidst it all, two contrasting surfaces seem to meet for a moment, like a kiss imprinted in stone.

Panagiotis Filippopoulos
Panagiotis Filippopoulos is a photographer with a particular interest in landscape, architecture, and the identity of place. Serifos has been a constant point of reference in his photographic journey for the past three decades, with its distinctive light, terrain, and architecture recurring throughout his work.
Through photography and aerial imagery, he approaches space sometimes through detail and at other times from a distance, exploring the geometry, forms, and transformations of the landscape.
He is a certified A1/A3 & A2 drone operator and a member of the World UAV Federation – Wings Club. He has collaborated with architects, private clients, and public institutions, including the Municipality of Serifos.
