Fading Bodies
My work explores vulnerability as a fundamental condition of human existence. It does not approach fragility as a lack or weakness, but as a deeper form of truth that reveals itself through time and the silent shifts of life. As humans move through their journey, they become increasingly exposed, increasingly permeable; a process that does not diminish but rather strips away and simultaneously reveals.
The delicate porcelain parts that shape the work act as carriers of this tension. Their potential to break is not perceived as a loss, but as an inherent part of their existence. Decay does not negate the work; it continues it, embedding it within a broader cycle of transformation.
The work ultimately focuses on the acceptance that beauty does not reside in permanence, but in transformation; in the fragile balance between presence and absence, endurance and decay.

Faye Papargyropoulou
Faye Papargyropoulou
Faye Papargyropoulou, born in Athens on February 21, 1974, is a ceramic artist and designer based in Athens.
In 1992, she began her studies in art and design with a scholarship in industrial design. After working as an art & creative director at leading advertising agencies, she founded her own creative company, ABOUT CREATIVE AGENCY, in 2006.
In 2020, she took the next step in her creative journey by establishing the ceramic studio, CERAMIC 47.
Based in Athens, CERAMIC 47 is her personal space for artistic expression, where she creates unique ceramic artworks that highlight the beauty of imperfection and challenge traditional notions of form and functionality. Through her work, she combines the past with the present, reflecting a deep appreciation for art, nature, and contemporary design.
Her work has been exhibited in Greece and abroad.
At Ceramic Brussels 2026, a major international platform for contemporary ceramics, Faye Papargyropoulou was selected, along with nine other artists, to participate in the group exhibition as part of the Ceramic Brussels Art Prize. The exhibition, organized by Jean-Marc Dimanche, showcased a curated selection of her works, confirming the international recognition of her artistic practice.
