SMALL BIO

Blu is a photographer whose practice is shaped by curiosity, observation, and a fascination with the stories held within people, places, and materials. A graduate of HCP and Vakalo College, she began her photographic journey some years ago through fashion photography. Her work gradually expanded through her experience in the hospitality industry, where she discovered a new visual language in food, craft, and the people behind them. This shift led her to explore food photography, as well as portraiture and documentary-style imagery that focuses on individuals within their working environments. Across these different fields, her approach remains rooted in the same desire: to look beyond the surface and capture the character and stories that make something unique.

Her participation in the exhibition GeoChromia marks a more personal exploration of place and material. Through the landscape of Serifos, she turns her attention to the relationship between nature and human touch, following the transformation of a natural stone into colour and, ultimately, into an object. Her work seeks to capture not only what something is, but also what it can become — and what remains of where it came from.
