Throbbing Stillness

Last year, I visited the island for the first time and I was impressed by its intense geological diversity, how the landscape changes from place to place, and, above all, the intense rusty color on certain rocks. When I received the invitation from Kerameio Ceramic Studio to participate in “Lithosphere Vol. II”, I thought I would love to create a piece that, on the one hand, would bear the characteristics of my own visual language and, on the other hand, would look like an organic part of the island’s geology, as if it had always been there.

An object that would stand between the natural and the man-made, as if it has been detached from a rock, containing the silent memory of the serifian subsoil.
