Vangelis Agnantopoulos was born in Athens in 1964. He has painted professionally since 1990. Although he started his studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts and has been taught at Yiannis Tsarouchis atelier, essentially is self-taught. His work belongs to the abstract contemporary art, with strong influence of POP ART, and has been presented since 1987 in group and solo exhibitions in galleries in Athens. V. Agnantopulos likes bright colours, contrasts, so his work is characterised by strong alterations in themes and techniques, such as mix techniques, collage – painting, Construction.

For personal reasons he remained away from the artistic arena for about ten years, until June 2008, when he established with Lefteris Vichos the ART 10 GALLERY.
