My involvement with ceramics since my youth, this contact with clay and its history, made my life richer. Creativity, poetry, patience, observation, look, receptiveness, giving, purpose, people, became my partners, through this sustainable processing of the amorphousness of clay, using hands, body and mind.
I use a wide temperature range of clay bodies, which I mainly decorate with terra sigillata and fire in semi reduction firing.
My work has been presented in both individual and group exhibitions, where small or larger installations form a unity with conceptual or symbolic orientation. I participated in group exhibitions in the Archaeological Museums of Pella (2017), Patras (2015), Aegina (2010).
I participated in international ceramics symposiums - Aegina (2009), Greek-Turkish symposium 1998-1999, Greek-Canadian symposium 1997-1996, International ceramics exhibition Foshan China 2002, Pan-European symposium Cyprus 2004 - where the multiple impact and interaction of the participating ceramic artists always leave us a hopeful aura.
During this trip, I was also given the role of teacher. I have taught at various levels of education, trying through a program to make student’s creativity, and not only, to flourish and I am happy to see the results of this effort, this “Spring”.
I helped as a draftsman, among others, in the development of the curriculum at the private educational institutions of ceramics in Volos and Marousi (Greece), and also of the curriculum of the 3rd grade of an artistic school.
Since 1987, I have been a member of the Greek Chamber of Artists and since 2002, I have been a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
