"Tectonic Functions"
The cracked shell of our planet and its inner revelations are the tangible sign of the perpetual movement, change and energy that characterizes it, as well as the entire universe. Man, part of the World, exploiting the building materials of his own planet Earth creates new life situations, a universe of his own. Soil, rocks, ores, deposits. Blades of worked rocks, clay, copper and iron plates, gold. Carved stone, stone on stone, residential structures, societies, cultures. Chromium, uranium, cobalt, lithium, silver, rhodium, magnesium, manganese…
The earth’s lithosphere, as a source of wealth, has always given and continues to give its treasures generously. Valuable materials, gifts of prosperity and civilization, but also causes of conflict and controversy. Questions about the overexploitation of natural resources, overpumping and the degradation of the quality of life. Development-destruction. Vicious circle.
Our contemporary navigation on this pre-eternal magma of the human-environment relationship and the human desire to conquer it, is the tip of the reflection for the redefinition of our goals and our future.
