Marilena Michopoulou
Marilena works as a ceramicist since 1994. Member of the Greek Chamber of
Fine Arts.
She owns the Clay Form Sculpture, Keramikes Morfes, school since 2003,
teaching adults Greek and foreign and organizing seminars and exhibitions
in Athens and Beirut.
She has exhibited in 3 solo and participated in many group exhibitions in
Greece and abroad.
Her works are mainly sculptures, of small and large dimensions. They are
characterized by anthropocentric and organic forms. The bone and
specifically the vertebra in various plastic arrangements and movements is
the main figure of discussion. Its material is clay, porcelain and bronze.
He usually uses clay as a main material without unnecessary glazes, with
its stony texture or mixed coloring materials.
All her works are always unique and fired at 1230C.
