So I chose to make three separate pieces on the wheel &#8211; a beautiful woman. At first I wasn&#8217;t sure about the kind of clay I wanted to use so I made three initial samples with three different clays.\u00a0 I liked\u00a0 the final\u00a0 result where the clay depicts the born in Thessaloniki.\u00a0 She came into contact with ceramics by apprenticing to traditional ceramists in Sifnos. She finished her studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz (Bachelor of Fine Arts specialized in Ceramics). She has a Master's degree from the International Hellenic University\u00a0 in Thessaloniki, specializing in the ceramics of the Black Sea and Ancient Greece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her work is inspired by the Ancient Greek and Byzantine ceramic art.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1981-1985 She teaches at the School of Ceramics of EOMMEX in Charilaou, Thessaloniki.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1981 she was the first professor in the newly founded Ceramics Department at the American College of Agriculture, where she still teaches today. She also teaches ceramics to adults at the \"Rebirth\" Rehabilitation Center.
