Feeling trapped between the buildings of the city, the clouds offer me a breath of beauty and a break from the stress of everyday life. It&#8217;s a dream shot in the pedestrian\u2019s gloom. I always look at them longingly, I think about them a lot, and I am very concerned with conveying the feelings they evoke in me. I try to capture all these qualities of my feelings in clay so that I can recall the same feelings just by looking at the objects and sculptures I create. Serenity, awe, tranquility, clarity, escape, reverie!<\/p><p>The idea of combining the rocks with the clouds was my unfulfilled \u2013 for a long time \u2013 desire to travel, to visit new places, new &#8220;lands&#8221;. So I made these &#8220;boxes&#8221; and put my dreams inside: the rock bubbles, some &#8220;notes&#8221; about different points of interest, and some larger pieces of rock as a kind of souvenir that I would bring back, literally or metaphorically.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ec6fcd elementor-widget 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antigoni Pantazi lives and works in Athens, Greece. In 1998, she had her first contact with ceramics. In 2006 she graduated from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (now Cardiff Metropolitan University) with a first-class degree in Ceramics and she was awarded the \u201cWelsh Assembly Government\u2019s First Minister\u2019s Award\u201d. She has also studied conservation of works of art and cultural events organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2008 she opened her own studio in Ilion, Athens where she creates and\u00a0shows her work as well as teaching ceramics to adults. She also teaches ceramics to adults at various public and private cultural centers and schools. She was the tutor for ceramics for a decade at the Cultural Centre of Petroupolis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She has participated in exhibitions and contests in Greece and abroad, among them the European Ceramics Context in Denmark (2010) and UNICUM in Slovenia (2023). Some of her works are included in books about ceramics by the American publications \u201cLark Books\u201d.
